The first edition of this very scarce work.ESTC citation number T46621.Edmund Gibson's reply to William Binckes' 1701 work 'An Expedient Propos'd', a discussion on the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Church of England, and the 1701 Convocation controversy.Binckes' work was a reply to another of Gibson's earlier works, titled 'Right of the Archbishop to continue to Prorogue the Whole Convocation Asserted', which has been published in 1701, which in its turn was a reply to earlier pamphlets by Francis Atterbury and Henry Aldrich. Disbound, as issued. Internally, binding is a little strained, mostly to the head of the textblock. Pages are age-toned and clean with the occasional spot and handling mark. Prior owner's neat ink inscription to the title page, to the reverse of the title, and to page 30. Puncture marks to the gutter. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
