Each of these three novels by Octave Feuillet are signed to the recto of the front free endpaper. Published in French. The ink inscription to the front free endpaper reads 'A ma chere bella lueur Camilla', meaning 'to my dear beautiful light Camilla&apos. Feuillet's name is spelt with a y in the inscription. Situated between the Romanticists and the Realists, Feuillet's novels and dramas are distinguished for their psychological analysis of characters, and his reserved but witty prose style. This collection includes his most popular novel, Le Roman D'Un Jeune Homme Pauvre or The Story of a Poor Young Man, which has been adapted for film several times. In a red quarter calf binding over patterned boards. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards and the extremities. One extremities to Les Amours de Philippe is particularly bumped. A little rubbed to the spine, particularly to the head of each volume. The front and rear hinges are starting, but firm to all three volumes.
