A report detailing the code of regulations of the Education Department for Jamaican schools, to be put in force in October 1908. These regulations concern all aspects of school life, including essential matters such as the curriculum, the training of teachers, scholarships and inspections. These regulations were for public elementary schools including trade and farm schools, and for training colleges for teachers. This work provides a fascinating insight into the involvement of the British in Jamaican education during the early 20th century. In the original paper wraps. Externally sound, with handling marks to the wraps, and some creasing to the lower corner of the front of the wraps. Library stamp and library label to the wraps.
