A very scarce work in the original paper wraps with a cloth chemise Bookplate to the front paste down. Ink inscription to the half title page. Édouard Dujardin (1861-1949) was a French writer and one of the first users of the literary technique called the stream of consciousness. In this collection of essays, he studies the work of French symbolist poet Stéphane Mallarmé (1842-1898) and the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel or Ezechiel; he also includes an essay on the theory of symbolic realism and a poem in memory of the Orientalist Joseph Halévy (1827-1917). In the original paper wraps with a cloth phase box. Externally age toned with some creasing to the extremities and small losses to the head and tail of the spine. Pages 67 to 86 are coming loose, the rest are firmly bound. Pages are age toned but clean. Phase box is very smart, with just some light shelf wear to the extremities. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated.
