Consisting of a general title page, and followed by two individually paginated works, each with their own title page.Illustrated with one engraved plate.Included in this work is Cochrane's 'Thoughts Concerning the Uses of Clay Marl, as Manure', first published in 1800, and his 'Thoughts or Queries Concerning the Uses of Agricultural Salts in the Manufacture of Manure', first published in 1804.To the verso of the general title page is the notice that the author reissued his tracts in this edition so that he could add his own name to them.The two tracts are followed by an appendix in which Cochrane provides his thoughts on puncturing wood for its preservation, and the erection of kilns in Yorkshire, and the use of coke in calcination of limestone. A very scarce early eighteenth century agricultural work. Rebound in marbled paper covered boards, with endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright, with only the odd spot. Near Fine . Ill.: Not Stated.
