Description: Stowe-Bardolph, Privately Printed, 1847-1862. Cloth. Two scarce privately printed volumes illustrating the seals from the Muniment Room of Sir Thomas Hare of Stowe-Bardolph. Two volumes. One of only one hundred copies printed. Collected and written by George Henry Dashwood, a British antiquary. Volume one contains fourteen plates, with detailed descriptions of multiple seals. Volume two offers similar commentary for its own eight plates. Volume two also includes a postscript from the author. All seals are credited to the Muniment Room of Sir Thomas Hare of Stowe-Bardolph, a Member of Parliament for England and a member of the East Anglian Gentry. Bound in blue cloth. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and minor fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with light scattered spotting.
