This volume also includes some of his essays, such as 'Essay on Publick Spirit' and 'Essay on the Operas&apos.He was one of the leading critics of his day, pioneering the concept of the sublime as an aesthetic quality. One leaf of adverts to the front of Volume I. Rebound in a modern cloth binding. Externally, smart. Only a couple of minor marks to the boards and spine.
