A very scarce volume published by the National Froebel Union, an association which validated examinations and set standards for teaching training courses at pre-school level in the UK. The National Froebel Foundation began as two separate bodies until the Froebel Society of and the National Froebel Union merged in 1938 to form the National Froebel Foundation. The present volume contains the syllabus of elementary and higher teacher examinations, statistical reports on those who took the exam in 1915, and example papers. With a sticker from the board of education reference library to the rear board. The volume also has some numbers in white to the tail of the spine. The volume previously belonged to Board of Education Library, and has several institutional marks as a result, including a library stamp, a stamp reading 'reverse stock', and some numbers inscribed in pen to the title page. With a sticker from London Stationers 'Matthews, Drew & Co.' to the front paste down. In the publisher's original green cloth binding. Externally, smart. Lightly rubbed to the front board and the joints. Missing a slither of cloth to the head of the spine, with a tiny tear at the rear joint near the tail of the spine.
