The text publication society called the Pipe Roll Society was founded by the Public Record Office in 1883, to establish a systematic publishing programme for the Pipe rolls. Its first volume was published in 1884. All the rolls from 1158 to 1224 have now been published. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart and bright.
