Pages 607 and 608 of the third series are detached, as is the plate facing page 608. With two pages of advertisements to the rear of Volume III.Prior owner's ink inscription from 1891 to the front free endpaper of the First Series, and from 1897 to the third series. In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, sound. There is bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There are some marks to the boards.
