The seventh (1924) and ninth (1926) years of publication of the English and Scottish Cooperative Wholesale Societies' Annual or People's Year Book. The English and the Scottish Cooperative Wholesale Societies are the predecessors of the Co-operative Group. These annuals provide information on worldwide cooperative movements. Among other subjects, the 1924 annual focuses on the relationship between employees and directors connected with wholesale and retail establishments. The 1926 annual focuses on the Coal Mining Crisis and the World Coal Situation, which was then of major public concern. Both are scarce volumes. They contain a frontispiece and are illustrated throughout. 16 pages of advertisements to the rear of the 1924 annual. 22 pages of advertisements to the rear of the 1926 annual. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally bright and smart, with light marks to the boards and spines. Internally, firmly bound. There is some spotting to the fore edge, but pages are generally bright and clean, except for the odd handling mark to the 1924 volume and a faint stain to the title page of 1926 volume. Very Good .
