Charles Cotton was an English poet, writer, and translator. He often wrote in a burlesque style, with his worked being humorous and often ludicrous. Cotton was also passionate about fishing, and had a small fishing house on the banks of the River Dove.Bookplate of Richard Luckett to the front paste down. Rebound with marbled paper covered boards, with new endpapers. Externally, smart. Spine is a little discoloured. Light rubbing and a few minor marks to the boards. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned with the occasional spot, and occasional ink note to the margins. Collated, lacking one plate.
