His defensive nature about Charles shines through in this history. In a full rebacked calf binding. Externally, lightly rubbed and a little discoloured. Boards are a little worn. Former loss to the head and tail of the spine, prior to rebacking. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. A little discolouration and faint damp stain to the head of the textblock, affecting most pages. Neat repair to the first and last few pages to the head and fore edge. Ink inscription to the title of the first part. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
