These works are written by Gilbert Abbott A'Beckett, a humourist who was one of the original staff of Punch. Punch was a British weekly satirical magazine. With ten hand coloured engravings to the first volume, one being loose but present. Ten hand coloured plates to volume two. In-text illustrations throughout both volumes. Collated, complete. In half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the spine and extremities and marks to the boards. Previous owner inscription to the reverse of the front free endpaper. Plate nine and pages 257-258 are loose to the first volume. Otherwise generally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages. Good . Ill.: John Leech. Good .
