With a portrait frontispiece to volume I.This four volume set explores the life of King Louis XV of France, as well as his court, his monarchy, and events that occurred during his reign (such as the Seven Years War).This substantial and chronologically arranged life of Louis XV contains numerous and extensive sections dealing with political events in North America, particularly the French and Indian War. While the chronological narrative deals with the events as they occurred, each volume has a series of Appendices to the rear, providing an account of documents and correspondence surrounding specific events.ESTC reference T114125Each volume retaining the original half title.
