Rebound in a modern cloth binding, with new endpapers. Externally, smart. Only a few very light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and generally clean with some light spots. Frontispiece is reinforced to the reverse. Small chip to page 85/86. A few leaves are a little closely trimmed to the bottom edge, no loss of text. Worming to the head of pages 59 to 202, worm hole a little heavier to pages 101 to 192, affecting only a very marginal amount of text. Prior owner's ink inscription to page 215.
