Beck hunted plants all over the British Isles, Palestine, Sweden and the Alps, and had a keen interested in Fritillaria which she cultivated herself. Shropshire library stamp and the remains of a yellow library sticker to the rear endpaper. In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A little rubbed to the boards and the spine. Lightly bumped to the head and tail of the spine with some minor wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages.
