This anthology of children's stories includes: The Giant and Tailor, Hans in Luck, The Three Golden Hairs, The Jew in the Bush, The Nose Tree and The Goatherd. Illustrated with 37 engravings. Clara de Chatelain (1807-1876) was a prolific writer; her books of fairy tales included 140 original tales and 50 retellings of classic fairy tales. Undated, dated through copies held at HathiTrust Digital Library. In a quarter cloth binding with pictorial boards. Externally sound, though soiled to the boards and spine. Front joint is splitting.
