Collated complete. Housed in the original half morocco portfolio, with gilt detail. The front board is detached but present. Arthur Evershed was a physician and artist known for his incredible skills at drawing directly from nature onto the copper plate. He was a member of the Royal Society of Painter Etchers, and had his work exhibited frequently at the Royal Academy. He published two portfolios of his etchings entitled, 'An Etcher's Rambles&apos. This is the first series, showcasing a variety of drawings of the River Thames. With a discreet blind stamp for, 'Neatham Hill Library TW', to the list of engravings. In the original half morocco portfolio. Externally, sound. The front board is detached. The rear board is loosely connected, and could become detached upon further handling. Rubbing to the extremities. Fraying and loss to the ties. Fading and staining. Marks to the boards. Some loss to the leather of the boards. The etchings are in smart condition. They are age-toned but generally clean. Blindstamp to the list of etchings. Stain to the bottom of the list of etchings. Light spotting to the etchings.
