Samuel Johnson had an influential and lasting effect on the development of English literature, particularly due to his dictionary, literary criticism and biographical works. This edition contains a facsimile of the title page from the original quarto edition and an advertisement to the first edition, along with an introduction by Mowbray Morris. In a half calf binding.
