The series was originally published in famous periodical Punch in 1845. Two leaves of advertisements to rear. Rebacked in cloth with the original boards restored, titles to paper spine label, renewed endpapers. Externally sound with minor shelf wear, boards rubbed and creased. Previous ownership inscription to recto front blank leaf dated 1882. Internally, firmly bound.
