Ingram was a British ornithologist and plant collector, who became an authority on Japanese flowering cherries later on in his life, earning him the nickname Collingwood 'Cherry' Ingram. Prior owner's ink inscription to the title page - R. F Sale. In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A little rubbed to the boards with some discolouration of the cloth to the spine and the front joint. Lightly bumped to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound.
