Thomas Hood (1799-1845) was an English poet, author and humorist, best known for poems such as The Bridge of Sighs and The Song of the Shirt, which are included in the volume Poems, alongside his sonnets and minor poems. The volume Poems of Wit and Humour was published after this volume, focusing on his humorous verses. In a half calf binding. Externally very smart; rubbing to the extremities and joints, and a little shelf wear to the boards. Gilt to the spine remains bright. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
