The first facsimile reprinted edition of this work published in 1972. A limited edition copy, limited to 400 copies, with this being number 39. With reproductions of the original illustrations by Thomas Rowlandson and with an introduction by John King. It is uncertain precisely when Rowlandson made these illustrations, but 1797-8 is a probable date. With nine plates for the cavalry and a further seventy seven for the various volunteers including Sadler's Sharp Shooters, Marylebone Volunteers and the uniform for the Guildhall Volunteer Association. Collated, complete. Scarce in the slipcase. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original slipcase which is also excellent. Fine .
