She was highly praised for her role in British imperial policy-making as an Arabist, and was a close friend of the famous British archeologist and army officer, T. E. Lawrence. Leonard William King was an English archeologist and Assyriologist, known for his translations of ancient works such as the Code of Hammurabi. He was also a professor at Kings College, Cambridge.
