Charming descriptive text is accompanied by illustrations engraved on wood by G. Pearson after drawings by the author. All eight full page plates present. In prize binding from the Rugby School, with armorial blind stamp to front board and bookplate to front pastedown.  Rebound in full calf with five raised bands, gilt tooling to spine, armorial blind stamp to front board, marbled edges and endpapers.
