Henry Harland (1861-1905) was an American novelist and founding editor of The Yellow Book. This was one of his later, more well-received works, which he wrote after his best-known work The Cardinal's Snuff-box. It was first published in the USA in 1903. 4 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart, with very light bumping to the extremities and joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the first and last few pages, and to the top edge, affecting the occasional page. Some offsetting to the free end papers. Very Good Indeed .
