The story follows Quatermain as he journeys to rescue a captured English hunter and avenge an African princess. Complete with the half title page, and sixteen pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear of the book. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with some shelf wear and fraying to the extremities. Rear joint is starting but still firm. Light marks to the boards and spine. Hinges starting but firm. The odd spot to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Internally, binding slightly strained towards the centre but still firmly bound.
