This is Winston Churchill's biography of his father Lord Randolph Henry Spencer-Churchill (1849-1895), a radical Conservative politician of great importance in British politics in the 1880s (serving as Chancellor, Leader of the Commons, and Secretary for India). He coined the term 'Tory democracy', created the National Union of the Conservative Party and broke new ground in modern budgetary presentations. In publisher's original cloth bindings. Externally smart, with minor rubbing to the extremities and the spine. Spine is a little faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with new end papers pasted in to the paste downs.
