Goldsmith studied at Trinity College Dublin, where there stands a statue of him by JH Foley. This collection of his poetry includes 'The Deserted Village', 'The Logicians Refuted', and 'The Traveller&apos.With wood engravings accompanying the text by the members of the Etching Club, including Charles West Cope, John Callcott Horsley, and Frederick Tayler. The Etching Club was an artists' society in London, illustrating various editions of the works, including those by Shakespeare, John Milton, and Thomas Gray.With a biographical memoir and notes on the poems.Edited by the literary critic Bolton Corney. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Rubbing to the paper, and a little to the extremities, resulting in a little loss to the leather. Bumping to the extremities. Spine is a little discoloured. Small scorch mark to the tail of the textblock, affecting the first and last few pages with a small amount of loss to the margins. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot, heavier to the first few pages. Very Good . Ill.: Various. Very Good .
