Ink inscriptions to the title page and front free endpaper, and the odd further inscription throughout.Retaining the original half title.Complete, with each page following page 160 miss numbered, beginning with page 171.With a single leaf of publisher's advertisements to the rear, followed by and eight page index. Rebacked, with calf backed tree calf boards. Retaining the original end papers. Externally, excellent. Hinges starting, with boards holding firm. Armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Contemporary ink inscriptions to front free endpaper and title page. Blind stamp to front free endpaper and title page. Internally, firmly bound.
