The volume contains memoirs of Oliver Goldsmith, The Traveller, The Deserted Village, The Haunch of Venison and other poems. Oliver Goldsmith was an Anglo-Irish novelist, playwright and poet, who is best known for his novel The Vicar of Wakefield (1766) and his pastoral poem The Deserted Village (1770). In prize binding and with a bookplate from Trinity College Dublin, dated 1810. With a frontispiece and six plates. Collated, complete. In leather prize binding for Trinity College. Externally, smart with some rubbing to the spine and marks to the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown for Trinity College. A previous owner inscription to the third leaf dated 1818. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with a watermark to the top right of the first few pages. Very Good .
