The first volume discusses the origin of the Romans and the building of Rome and the rest of the volumes trace the history of the Rome, including the reigns of the seven Kings of Rome, Romulus, Numa Pompilius, Tullus Hostilius, Ancus Marcius, Tarquinius Priscus, Servius Tullius and Tarquinius Superbus. Vol. I has four folding maps and to the front of the volume is a section of remarks on the history of the seven Roman Kings, vol. II has one folding map, vol. v has one folding map. To the end of vol. vi there is The Capitoline Marbles, or Consular Calendars. Collated, complete. All uniformly bound in full calf leather. Externally, generally smart with some marks to the spines and boards. With a bookplate to all pastedowns for James Martin. Internally, all are firmly bound.
