Written by Henry Barnet Gascoigne.A very scarce copy found institutionally only at the British Library.With explanatory notes on the author's life by Matt H. Bloscham, Esq. an antiquary, handwritten to note tipped in to front free endpaper and rare pastedown. A clipping 'Rugby School Island' pasted to front pastedown. Rebacked with the original boards restored, title inked to front board and printed on spine label, in paper covered board binding. Externally sound with shelf wear, chipped and bumped to extremities of boards, boards marked with light damp marks. Inscribed notes tipped in to endpapers, newspaper clipping pasted to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to first and last few leaves, pages otherwise bright and clean.
