Louis Giraud. The Bookano Stories began publication towards the end of the 1920s, and were the first 'automatic' books. Sixteen annuals were produced between 1929 and 1949, with the title stemming from merging the words 'book' and 'Meccano&apos.Including three full-page illustrations in colour, three delightful illustrated pop-up models, and many black-and-white in-text illustrations.Collated, and lacking pop-up model for 'The Swineherd claims a Kiss&apos. In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Externally, some light shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. A few marks to the boards, and fading to the spine. Internally, binding is loose in places, with pages 'The Swineherd' to 'Garden of Paradise' detached but present (a total of four leaves). Some of the black-and-white in-text illustrations have been amateurly coloured. A few light handling marks and spots to the pages. Good Only . Ill.: Not Stated. Good Only .
