In the publisher's original cloth binding with gilt detail. Externally, smart with shelf wear to the edges and bumping to the spine. Some tears to the spine and marks to the boards. Contemporary ink inscription to the front paste-down. Hinges are strained but firm. Small tear to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound, though creasing and wear to the binding throughout. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot and some light age-toning.
