A smart collection of poems by Richard Faber, written between 1943 and 1962. Faber wrote well-crafted books of 19th century English history and a biography of the courtier, Sir William Temple. He was also ambassador to Algeria. Richard, 'Dick' Faber, was the son of Geoffrey Faber, who established the publishing house that is today known as, 'Faber and Faber&apos. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some light shelf wear to the edges and some fading to the spine. A few marks to the boards. Author's ink inscription to the front free endpaper. The odd spot to the paste-downs and endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: None.
