He wrote a range of children's books and detective stories, set in rural villages, as well as other writings. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear. Light marks to the boards. Some offsetting to the rear free endpaper and paste-down. The original clipped dust wrapper is in good condition. The front panel is bright and clear. Some chipping to the spine and edges. Marks to the rear panel. Shelf wear to the edges and offsetting to the right flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot and several marks throughout. Tipex applied to the front and rear of the title page. The occasional closed tear. Very Good .
