He is most known for the Forsyte Saga (1906-1921) and in 1932 was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature shortly before his death. No slip case present. In the original publisher's half vellum binding with cloth boards and original acetate dust wrapper with paper flaps. The dust wrapper is worn, about a quarter is missing from the acetate. The binding is in near fine condition with only some minor bumps to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some slight marking to the vellum. Internally, firmly bound.
