Pastoral poems include 'The Promise of Springtime', 'A Spring Walk' and 'Autumn&apos. The volume concludes with '1918: A Retrospect', which discusses 'golden threads of sacrifice' and 'payment of a heavy price' regarding the year in which 'tyranny met its doom,' And happy Peace appeared&apos.An intriguing insight into a religious response to the conclusion of the war. In the original quarter morocco binding with cloth covered boards, and handwritten paper label to front board. Rubbing to back strip, with a bump to back strip head. Front hinge lightly strained, resulting in two small closed tears to title page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean, and a touch age toned due to paper type.
