He was awarded an MBE 'For Services to Bookbinding' in 1992.A loosely inserted note from Church Green Books notes that this 'unfinished Ivor Robinson binding purchased from Olive Robinson March 2015&apos. Ivor Robinson died in 2014, and his wife, Olive, survives him. This, therefore, may be one of the final bindings on which he worked.A note to the recto of front the not yet secured front pastedown sheet advises 'full gilt on the rough&apos.
