Bound in contemporary half calf with marbled boards by T. Sowler of Manchester, with their binder's sticker to the front pastedown. Containing the previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume. A handwritten letter by the author adhered to the front free-endpaper of Volume I. Internally, hinges are tender.
