The library was created following the conversion of the billiards room in 1936 and was predominantly filled with books collected by Anthony de Rothschild. In half calf binding. Externally, smart. There is bumping to the head and tail of the spine resulting in some wear, and bumping to the extremities. The spine is worn. The boards are slightly marked. The front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription dated 1879 to the first free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with minimal spotting. Tissue guards are present and intact. Good .
