Very scarce in all early French language editions.The poem was first translated into French by de Piles in 1668, and later into English by John Dryden.Bound in to the rear of the work are thirty-one engraved plates from artist Sebastien Leclerc, with an engraved title page reading 'Figures D'Academie', also from publisher Nicolas Langlois, and frequently appearing to the rear of this work.
