E. H. Shepard is a well known book illustrator who also illustrated The Wind in the Willows, and other famous children's literature such as Winnie The Pooh. Gold lettering to the front board and spine.No dust wrapper present.Includes adverts to the rear endpapers. In original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. The boards and spine are aged. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine is slightly discoloured and the lettering of the publisher's mark is slightly faded. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound.
