By English lawyer and naturalist William John Broderip. With a colourful frontispiece and numerous further black and white plates of illustrations. Brighton Grammar School Prize Binding presented to B. Henley for having passed the Cambridge local examination in 1873.  Rebound in full calf binding with gilt tooling to spine and boards, marbled edges and endpapers. Externally sound with some shelf wear, rubbed to joints and spine, head and tail lightly chipped. Front hinges slightly strained, holding firm. Internally firmly bound. Light spotting to title page affecting leaves of plates in particular, otherwise pages generally bright and clean. Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Good .
