Volume II has sixteen steel engravings, one of which is folding, plate to face page 221 missing. Collated. Volume III has nineteen steel engravings on of which one is folding, plate to face page 106 missing. Collated. Volume IV has thirty-five steel engravings. Collated, complete. Volume V has forty-one steel engravings two of the plates are folding. Collated, complete. Edward Wedlake Brayley was an English historian and topographer and collaborated with John Britton on the first six volumes of The Beauties of England and Wales. In half calf leather binding with green cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart. The spines are faded and there are a few marks to the boards.
