The work ends with 'Translations into English Verse&apos. Thomas Gray (1716-1771) was an English poet and classical scholar, as well as a professor at Pembroke College, Cambridge. He is best known for 'Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard', and other 'conventionally pre-Romantic' works. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original paper vellum binding. Externally, very smart, with minimal wear to the extremities and spine, with marks to the top of the rear board. Marks to the top of rear endpaper and paste down. Internally, firmly bound.
