The work compares the merits of the Catholic and Anglican churches, as well as 'the Radical cause', through three different women that fight for Lothair's affection when he comes of age.Chapters include 'Life at Brentham', 'An Arrival', 'The 'Declaration of Geneva'', and 'Puppets&apos. Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881) was a British statesmen and Conservative politician, best known for serving twice as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Disraeli played a central role in the creation of the modern Conservative Party and its political platforms. With a bookplate to front paste down belonging to W. H. Perot. Six pages of publisher's adverts to the rear of text. Collated, complete. Bound in half-crushed morocco on marbled boards. Externally smart. Light wear to the extremities and the spine, particularly along the bands of joints. Paste downs and endpapers are age-toned with some offsetting to the endpapers. Prior owner's bookplate to front paste down. Some chipping to the top right-hand corner of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
