In a full calf binding. Externally, with some light rubbing to the boards and spines. Joints are a lightly cracked. Light bumping to the extremities. Small crack to the spine label of Volume I. Chip to the spine label of Volume II, lacking the second spine label. A little loss to the head and tail of the spine of Volumes II, III, and IV. Small patch of loss of leather to the head of the front joint of Volume IV. Hinges of Volumes I and III are starting but firm. Front hinge of Volume II is strained. Front hinge and joint of Volume IV is a little strained. Bookplate and ink inscription to the front paste down of Volume I. Ink inscription to the front paste down of Volume II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean with just the occasional light spot. Very faint tide mark to the first few pages of Volumes I and IV.
